Blanca Fernández - violin
Born in Madrid, Blanca Fernández González completed a Master's degree in Performance with distinction at the Royal Academy of Music in London (RAM) in 2015 with Professor Maurice Hasson, where she was awarded the Santander UK Universities Award. She graduated in Violin in 2013, obtaining the highest grade in her final recital with Professor Detlef Hahn at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (GSMD). Her studies have been supported by scholarships from the Community of Madrid, Juventudes Musicales, Banco Santander, the Society of Spanish Performing Artists (AIE), Astona International of Switzerland, and the Royal Academy of Music. She also studied with Ida Bieler at the Kunstuniversität in Graz (Austria) and with Lorenza Borrani at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole (Italy).
In the orchestral field, he collaborates with the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), the Madrid Community Orchestra (ORCAM), the Madrid Symphony Orchestra (OSM), the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra (SHFO), and Spira Mirabilis.
As a chamber musician, her performances include the Wigmore Hall String Quartet Festival, St. Martin in the Fields, Astona International (Switzerland), the Clásicos en Verano Festival (CA Madrid), the Centro Cultural Conde Duque, the Aurora Festival (Sweden), and the Teatro Real.
She is currently a certified violin professor at the Adolfo Salazar Professional Conservatory in Madrid, where she also conducts orchestral ensembles. She is frequently invited to give master classes at other centers, youth orchestras, and summer courses, a career she combines with her solo performances, chamber music, and orchestral music.
