Francesca Carta – repertoire pianist (Riccardo Ghiani Classroom)

Born in Cagliari, Sardinia, he began his musical studies there, earning his advanced degree in piano in 1985 under the direction of Rosabianca Rachel. He also continued his studies at the Université Musicale Internationale in Paris with Roger Murano and at the Lorenzo Perosi Academy with Aldo Ciccolini.


An accomplished chamber musician and accompanying pianist, with a broad command of the string and wind repertoire, he has performed at master classes and international festivals in Italy, Austria, Romania, Croatia, Switzerland, etc.


She is very active in concert and has appeared at numerous festivals throughout Europe. She has collaborated with many soloists, including Aurèle Nicole, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Maxence Larrieu, Alain Marion, Emmanuel Pahud, Bruno Pasques, Silvia Careddu, Pierre-Yves Artaud, Shigenori Kudo, etc. She has recorded albums for the labels "L'Académie Musicale de Villecroze," Riverberi Sonori, and Traversières. She teaches at the L. Canepa Conservatory in Sassari and is currently a professor at the piano faculty of the Conservatorio da GP Palestrina in Cagliari. She has worked as a "Maestro collaboratore" at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, and is a tutor at the "Hochschule für Musik" in Zurich. Mrs. Carta was also a teacher at the "Accademia Italiana del Flauto" in Rome and from 1993 to 2002 at the "Conservatoire National de Paris" accompanist for the class of Pierre-Yves Artaud.
