Victor Ambroa - violin

He was born in Madrid. He began his music studies with his grandfather, Victoriano Martín (who was a professor at the ONE) and later continued them at the Royal Conservatory of Music in his hometown.

completing his violin studies with an “Honor Award”.

He later lived in London for two years, on a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, to further his studies with the maestro José Luis García Asensio.

From 1993 to 1999, he was an assistant professor of violin and orchestral practice at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. He was a member of the group "Manon" from 1989 to 1999, with whom he performed numerous concerts around the world and recorded a CD with music by Catalan composers and another CD with the difficult work "Quartet for the End of Time" by Oliver Messiaen, both receiving excellent reviews from specialized critics.

In the summer of 2002, he recorded a CD with Cuban clarinetist Paquito d'Rivera, singer Nacha Guevara, and actors Javier Gurruchaga and Vladimir Cruz, based on Igor Stravinsky's work "The Soldier's Story," which won the 2003 Latin Grammy for best classical music album.

He currently combines his artistic activity with teaching: he is the concertmaster and director of the Andrés Segovia Chamber Orchestra, which he founded in 1989. Since 1990, he has been a violin teacher by competitive examination, and since the 2023-24 academic year, he has been a violin teacher and director of the Padre Integrated Music Center.

Antonio Soler in San Lorenzo de El Escorial as well as collaborator with the

National Orchestra of Spain since 1986.
