Laura Usano - bassoon
Laura Usano Fernández began her studies under the tutelage of Vicente Palop before continuing her advanced and master's degrees with Enrique Abargues, soloist with the Spanish National Orchestra. She then completed her studies with Juan Sapiña, soloist with the Valencia Orchestra, and Vicente Palomares, of the Spanish National Orchestra, among others.
As a bassoonist, she is or has been a member of various groups. She has participated in orchestras such as the Camerata Musicalis Symphony Orchestra, the Martín y Soler Symphony Orchestra, the Ciudad de Getafe Symphony Orchestra, the Filarmonía Symphony Orchestra, and the JORCAM Symphony Orchestra. She has also participated in various competitions with bands, such as the Getafe Music Band, the Godelleta Musical Union, the Consuegra Music Band, and the Joaquín Turina Musical Society, where she teaches bassoon. She has also performed zarzuelas and operas in production companies such as Yllana, with the Royal Gag Orchestra project, Mater Lírica, DRAO, and Lóperamore. She has also participated in chamber groups such as the A Tempo Quintet, with which she won the 3rd Ciudad de Ávila Chamber Music Competition, and in Myart Ensemble.
As a teacher, he has taught at various schools, such as Federico Chueca in Madrid, Joaquín Rodrigo in Las Rozas, and the Morata de Tajuña Music School. He also teaches at conservatories such as the CPM Teresa Berganza in Madrid, the CPM Rafael Frühbeck in Burgos, and currently at the CPM in Majadahonda.
