Emilio Sánchez - violin

Born in Madrid, he completed his musical studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid with honors in violin and chamber music. He later transferred to the University of Toronto, where he continued his studies with Professor David Zafer.

In the field of symphonic music, he has performed extensively throughout Spain, Europe, the United States and Canada, both as a soloist and concertmaster with orchestras such as L'Empurda, the Toronto Youth Orchestra, the Civitas Artis Martín y Soler Orchestra and the Film Symphony Orchestra, as well as as a member of the Orchestra of the Community of Madrid, the RTVE Orchestra, the Galician Philharmonic and Andrés Segovia, among others.

In the field of chamber music, he has been a member of the Cuarteto Monasterio, Cuarteto Cassadó, Cuarteto Español, the Sartory-Camera group, and the Quinteto Ludovico, with whom he has recorded several albums of Spanish music. Since 2009, he has been a member of the contemporary music group "cosmos 21," recording several albums. In 2013-14, he recorded as a soloist for television on the programs "En clave de noche" and "Sueños" for A3 media.

In 2004, he won first place in the competitive examination and has since taught at various conservatories. He currently teaches at the Joaquín Turina Professional Conservatory in Madrid.
