Elies Hernandis - trombone

Elies Hernandis Oltra. Born in 1967, he began his studies at Albalat de la Ribera and the Valencia Conservatory. He received the Honorary Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid in 1990. He was a member of the Orchestra of the Community of Madrid until 2000 and has collaborated with other Spanish symphony orchestras and contemporary music groups. He specialized in the sackbut at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya with Daniel Lassalle and Jean Pierre Canihac.

Since 1997 he has collaborated in numerous early music groups such as Hesperion XXI, Ministriles de Marsias, Ensemble Elyma de Geneva, Les Sacqueboutiers de Toulouse, Les Arts Florissants, Capella de Ministrers, Victoria Musicae de Valencia, Sphera Antiqva, Hexacordo, Camerata Ibérica, Lux Venti, La Caravaggia, Nova Lux de Pamplona, Ministriles Hispalensis, Armonico Tributo, Segreis Lisboa, La Capilla Real de Madrid, Arte Mvsico, ACapella Zurich, Labirynth of Voices, Odhecaton, Lucentum XVI, La Grande Chapelle, Tetrabone, Trobada and Euskal Barrokensemble, among others, with whom he has performed numerous concerts and recorded albums since 2000.

He has been a founding member of The Sir Aligator's Company since 1995.

In 2015, he obtained his PhD. He has taught at the Universities of Alcalá and Burgos and at numerous Conservatories and Trombone Courses, including Zaragoza and Ciudad Real; Puertollano, Toro, Lugo, Albarracín, Leganés, Albalat and Castelló de la Ribera; Guadalest; Toledo, Peralta; and Pamplona, among others.

Since 2001 he has been a trombone professor at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid.
