Teresa Meyer - transverse flute
Spanish flutist Teresa Meyer began her professional music studies at the Adolfo Salazar Professional Music Conservatory in Madrid with Salvador Requena. She later enrolled at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where she studied under Manuel Guerrero, graduating with honors.
She continued her studies of the transverse flute at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, under the direction of Emily Beynon and Eline van Esch, obtaining a Bachelor of Music.
She subsequently completed a Master's degree in Performance at the Amsterdam Conservatory, where she studied with Harrie Starreveld and Marieke Schneemann. She completed her training at the Ecole Nationale de Musique et de Danse in Paris with Patrick Gallois, where she won the Prix d'Excellence.
Attend courses and improvement classes with highly experienced flutists such as Aurele Nicolet, William Bennett, Vincent Lucas, Paul Edmund Davies, Davide Formisano, Peter Lukas Graf, Magdalena Martínez, Jaime Martín, Juana Guillem, Félix Renggli, Benoit Fromanger, Vicents Prats, Mathias Ziegler and Christian Farroni.
His interest in early music brought him closer to playing original instruments and he received traverso lessons from Jed Wentz and Wilbert
Hazelzet. She has been invited to collaborate with the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra, the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, the Extremadura Symphony Orchestra, the Burgos Symphony Orchestra, and the Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra; and during her training, she was a solo flute.
of the Dutch National Youth Orchestra (NJO).
In the historicist field, he collaborates with the Royal Chapel Orchestra of Madrid, the La Madrileña Orchestra, the Hippocampus Ensemble, the Nereydas Orchestra, Opera Omnia, and the Conductus Ensemble, among others.
He has performed in various European cities, including the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam; Vredenburg, Utrecht; Koningin Elisabeth Zaal, Antwerp; Palazzo Chigi Saracini, Siena; Teatro Monumental, Madrid; Teatro Real, Madrid; and Auditorio Nacional, Madrid.
She is currently a transverse flute teacher at the CIEM Federico Moreno Torroba.
