Manuel Tévar - piano
Conductor, pianist, and composer, winner of the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts Prize, the only musician, along with Manuel de Falla, to receive this award, and First Prize in the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in New York.
Recognized for his international career, Tévar has established himself as one of the most important Spanish musicians of his generation. He has conducted, among others, the I Musicisti della Scala di Milano, the Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the CRR Istanbul Chamber Orchestra, the Camerata Polifónica Siciliana, the Orchestra de Chambre du Luxembourg, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, and the United Nations Youth Ensemble. Tévar is the artistic director of the Atlántida Chamber Orchestra and of several international music festivals in Spain.
He has performed in prestigious venues and festivals such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Prague's Rudolfinum, Foz Palace in Lisbon, Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Palais des Academies in Brussels, among others, all around the world. In Spain, his notable performances include the National Auditorium in Madrid, the Teatro Real, the Miguel Delibes Auditorium, the Teatro Monumental, the Juan March Foundation, the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the Botín Foundation, the MNCARS (National Museum of Music), the Segovia Festival, the Cádiz Spanish Music Festival, and the ENSEMS Festival, always with extraordinary critical and popular acclaim.
His directorial schedule takes him to stages around the world, achieving success in each one.
Following his debut at the Berlin Philharmonic in December 2024, he has engagements in the coming months across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, which will see him debut in venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Prague's Smetana Hall, and Milan's Sala Verdi, with orchestras such as the Strauss Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kazakhstan Symphony Orchestra, and the North Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
