Eduardo Anoz - double bass
Originally from Calahorra, La Rioja, he began his musical studies with guitar and later double bass. He earned his Advanced Music Degree from the Basque Country Conservatory, Musikene. His main teachers have been W. Guttler, P. Korejwo, B. Salles, and A. García Araque. He has received masterclasses from the most prominent teachers on the European double bass scene: F. Petracchi, T. Martin, A. Boccini, G. Ettorre, T. Barbé, R. Ibragimov, and more.
During his student years, he was a member of the youth orchestras EGO and JONDE and the jazz quartet at the University of La Rioja. He completed his teaching training with a diploma in Music Education from the UR.
His professional career began in 2007, when he passed the competitive examination for the position of tutti double bass in the Madrid Community Orchestra. Since 2009, he has held the position of assistant soloist (currently on leave due to incompatibility). He is frequently requested by orchestras such as the Spanish National Orchestra, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra, and the Navarre Symphony Orchestra.
In the field of chamber music, he has been a member of the German double bass orchestra The Geatles, and regularly collaborates with the Plural Ensemble, the Spanish Chamber Orchestra, and the Andrés Segovia Chamber Orchestra.
He holds a master's degree in solo performance and a master's degree in musical creation and performance. In the teaching field, he has worked in music schools, professional conservatories, and advanced conservatories, giving him a comprehensive understanding of double bass teaching.
Since 2015, he has held the position of double bass professor at the RCSMM, a position he currently holds. In 2018, he joined the music and performing arts teaching staff through competitive examinations. In the field of educational management, he has held the position of head of studies at the RCSMM since 2019, responsible for coordinating artistic activities and the school's groups.
