Pilar Navarro - cello

Born in Madrid in 1977. He began his cello studies at the age of 6 with the maestro D. Salvador Escrig Peris.

In 1995, he entered the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where he taught with Maestro Pedro Corostola, and earned the Advanced Diploma in Cello with the highest marks. He also pursued advanced studies in Chamber Music with Luis Rego, earning the Completion Award.

He has attended numerous international courses with Bernard Greenhouse, Yehuda Hanani, Janos Starker, Pedro Corostola, Angel Luis Quintana, María de Macedo, and M. Cervera, among others, and chamber music courses with Jessie Levin, J. Fedorenko, and the Enesco Quartet in Paris. He later perfected his studies with Lluis Claret.

She has been invited to collaborate with the National Orchestra of Spain, the Orchestra of the Community of Madrid, the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra (in its performance at Carnegie Hall in New York), the Andrés Segovia Chamber Orchestra, the Spanish Royal Camerata and the Madrid Symphony Orchestra.

As a soloist he has given recitals in different Spanish cities, highlighting his participation in the Ciudad de Altea youth orchestra festival, recitals at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid, the Ancient University of Salamanca, the University of Alcalá de Henares, the Segorbe Cathedral (Castellón), the ONCE Auditorium, the Juan March Foundation in Madrid, the Caja Madrid Auditoriums, and the Ateneo de Madrid.

He collaborates with the “Plural Ensemble” and the group “Modus Novus,” both groups dedicated to the dissemination of contemporary music.

In 1999, he joined the Music and Performing Arts Teaching Corps by competitive examination. Since then, he has been teaching at the conservatories of Salamanca, Adolfo Salazar in the Community of Madrid, the Professional Music Conservatory of Alcalá de Henares, and currently at the Arturo Soria Conservatory in Madrid.

She teaches string classes at the "Ciudad de Puertollano" string courses, advanced courses in Madrid and Salamanca, the "Manuel Enquídanos" course in Lliria (Valencia), and at the Complutense University of Madrid. Her dedication to piano repertoire is notable, as is her involvement with other chamber groups, trios, and quartets, with whom she has performed numerous concerts and recorded for radio and television. In 2015, with the "MadCámara Trio," she was invited to the prestigious "Pau Casals" Festival in Puerto Rico.
