Remei Silvestre - viola

Remei Silvestre Vinaixa graduated from the Conservatorio Superior de Madrid with E. Mateu and L. Llácer and expanded her studies with A. Kovacs, B. Hamilton, J. Levine and R. Golani. She is currently a professor of viola by competitive examination at the Conservatory of Alcorcón (Madrid), having completed various specialized courses with professors such as A. Baget, S. Castro, S. Nelson, M. Zweig, C. Bossuat (Suzuki), I. Rodriguez (Dalcroze), J. Faller (Kodaly), P. Young, KB Hockett, J. Vasseur, E. Santiago, J. Irvine, S. Kuijken, R. Egarr, E. Gati and Lynne Denig (Rolland) among others.

She has completed a specialized course in the "Alexander Technique" at Musikene with Anne Lande. Musical Yoga with J. Hernández, and Mindfulness with A. Alvarez. She also teaches Chamber Music and Body Awareness Techniques at the conservatory, having trained in courses with M. López, P. Caja, R. García, and G. Dalia (stage fright).

She is a member of the Educamadrid Viola Seminar, comprised of teachers from conservatories in the Community of Madrid, where she carries out an outstanding teaching career. She is regularly invited to teach various advanced courses throughout Spain. As a performer, she frequently collaborates with Stylus Luxurians and various early music groups. She plays regularly and is a founding member of "El Concierto Español," with which she has recorded several CDs and toured Spain, Mexico, France, and Belgium.
