Abelardo Martín - violin
Born in Madrid, he completed his advanced music studies, specializing in violin, at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid with Joaquín Torre. He also pursued advanced music studies, specializing in musicology, and specializing in baroque violin, with Hiro Kurosaki, with whom he obtained honors. He subsequently pursued academic and artistic training at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid with Marco Rizzi and Sergey Teslya, as well as an instrumental postgraduate degree at the Liceu Conservatory of Music in Barcelona with Mauro Rossi. He has attended master classes with David Ballesteros, Radu Blidar, Miriam Fried, Shirly Laub, and Gordan Nikolitch, and received chamber music training from Márta Gulyás, Luis Fernando Pérez, and the Quiroga Quartet.
In the field of instrumental performance as a violinist, he has given solo concerts, received recognition as a chamber music instrumentalist, committed to the recovery of musical heritage, and participated in various recordings for Radio Nacional de España Clásica and Televisión Española.
In the educational field, he has served as concertmaster of both the Youth Orchestra of the Community of Madrid and the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, as well as a member of the Youth Orchestra of the European Union and the Verbier Festival Orchestra.
Professionally, he has collaborated with groups such as the Cadaqués Orchestra, the Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid, the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, having been invited to collaborate as concertmaster with the Barbieri Symphony Orchestra, the Andrés Segovia Chamber Orchestra, the FIMA Orchestra of Almería, the Philomusica Orchestra and Choir, the Albacete Symphony Orchestra and the Atlántida Chamber Orchestra.
In the field of early music performance, he has served as concertmaster of the Royal Chapel of Madrid, the Baroque Ensemble of the Händel Oratorio Society, and the Baroque Ensemble of the Bach Madrid Project.
He currently works as a violin teacher at the Rodolfo Halffter Professional Music Conservatory in Móstoles.
