Erica Ramallo - violin

Born in Madrid, she studied music with A. Baget at the “Adolfo Salazar” Conservatory in Madrid and with Y. Volguin and Z. Bron at the Reina Sofía School of Music, where in 2003 she received the Award for the Most Outstanding Student of the Violin Department from the hands of
Her Majesty Queen Sofia. She graduated from the Madrid Conservatory of Music under the direction of Manuel Guillén and completed postgraduate studies with S. Fatkulin in Bonn, receiving scholarships from the AIE, the Ministry of Culture, the Isaac Albéniz Foundation, and Juventudes Musicales de Madrid.


She has been awarded numerous prizes: First Prize in the “Ciudad de Xátiva” Competition (Categories A and B), Second Prize in the “Villa de Llanes” International Violin Competition, Third Prize in the International Violin Competition (Lisbon)... which has led her to perform in venues such as the Viña del Mar Theatre (Chile), the Sidi Bou-Saiz Auditorium (Tunisia), the Santa Cecilia Academy Auditorium (Rome) or the Ciudad de León Auditorium. As a member of the Habemus Quartet she has made several recordings for RTVE and RNE, as well as for the label
Non Profit Music record label.

Since 2013, she has been part of PluralEnsemble, with which she has performed at the following festivals: Venice Biennale, Shanghai New Music Week, Bridges Festival at the Vienna Konzerthaus, Cuenca Religious Music Week, BBVA Foundation Series at the National Auditorium of Music in Madrid... and in cities such as Bremen, Klagenfurt, Reggio Emilia, Vienna, Madrid and Bilbao, among others.


He currently combines his concert activity with teaching, developing his pedagogical work at the “Teresa Berganza” Professional Music Conservatory (Madrid) and regularly giving courses and master classes.
